Antipasto Tapenade

This is part one of my boujee appetizers for $12 or less series! And, bonus points, this appetizer recipe does not use the oven, which we all know is prime real estate when cooking over the holidays!

Hosting can be expensive, so I want to provide you with some fun ideas to still give your guests a tasty, special experience without breaking the bank!

Building a spread of any kind can really add up. This antipasto tapenade takes all the salty, delicious bites from an antipasto spread into a tapenade – building the perfect, budget-friendly bite every time!

So for this, I tried a lot of combinations of antipasto ingredients including roasted red pepper and mozzarella, and this combo was what I found to be the most flavorful and well balanced use of the budget of $12. So of course you can make it as written or use it as inspiration to make your perfect bite in your budget!

Most of these ingredients are also shelf stable until you open them, so it is also a great “pantry appetizer’ if these are the types of items you keep around!

Ingredients & Price Breakdown:

  • Marinated Artichokes: $2.99
  • Manzanilla Olives: $2.99
  • Salame & Provolone 3oz combo pack: $2.49
  • Brioche Toast Points: $1.99
  • Pantry Items: Vinegar (I used white wine, but you could really use anything you have) and Italian Seasoning (I used oregano and basil separate) < $1 worth

Total Price: $10.46

(about $11 including value of pantry items) I bought everything at Trader Joe’s in Nashville, TN, which tends to be the most cost effective option around me. Tax not included. Prices may vary depending on your location and grocery options.
