Spicy Maple Apple Sausage Balls

My family eats sausage balls every Christmas morning, and this I’m switching it up with this sweet and spicy gluten-free version. It’s basically all the best flavors of breakfast in one bite. Store in the freezer all month long for an easy breakfast or snack for your family and guests!

Spicy Maple Apple Sausage Balls

A gluten free, elevated version of the classic sausage balls!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Jimmy Dean Original Pork Sausage
  • 1 cup shredded apple I like golden delicious
  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne adjusted to spice preference

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl, then roll them into 1″ thick balls
  • Bake until golden and cooked through, about 20-25 minutes
  • Enjoy warm!
  • Store in freezer for up to 6 months

    These are amaze-balls! Get it. Anyway, these are so good and very easy to make, but also the type of thing that will impress the mother in-law. An all around slam dunk!
